Origins is committed to creating an inclusive experience for people with disabilities by offering a free assistive technology desktop and mobile application for you to download from eSSENTIAL Accessibility.
What is it?
The eSSENTIAL Accessibility application (“App”) is a suite of assistive technologies for use on desktop computers and certain mobile devices that will help our customers with physical disabilities to access our website more easily. The App features tools such as:
- Hands-free mouse
- Voice commands
- Visual click assist
- On-screen keyboard
The App is easy-to-use and can be activated quickly.
Who is it for?
The App is primarily to assist people who have trouble typing, moving a mouse, or reading due to a variety of conditions, such as:
- Age related factors
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Parkinson’s disease
- Cerebral Palsy
- Mild visual impairment
- Limited proficiency in English
- Literacy deficiencies
- Other learning or reading issues
How can you download it?
The desktop App is compatible with current Microsoft Windows operating systems. To download and use the desktop App, your computer must use one of these operating systems: Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or Windows XP SP3.
In order to use the desktop App on an Apple computer you will have to download Microsoft Windows first. You can learn more about downloading and using the desktop App on an Apple computer by clicking here.
The mobile App can be used on mobile devices with an Android v. 5.0 or higher operating system. The mobile App is currently not available for iPhones.
